About the Position:
We are seeking a passionate Dental Assistant to join our dedicated and professional oral health team at BRHS. As a BRHS dental assistant you will contribute to the provision of a high standard dental care to eligible public patients by assisting in the day to day running of our busy dental practice including activities associated with sterilisation services, surgery, stock room management and oral health promotion. This role will suit an enthusiastic Dental Assistant seeking a great work/life balance and flexibility in their role.
About the Department:
The Oral Health Clinic consists of a modern and well equipped 6 chair surgery located within the Community Health Complex in Ross Street, Bairnsdale. The clinic currently operates Monday to Friday during the hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm and supports the Smile Squad program.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting course and previous work experience in a dental clinic
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills of a high level
- A good understanding of the dental public health system
- Ability to follow detailed written and oral instruction well
- Ability to function as an effective member of a team of professionals
- A sound understanding of infection control processes
