Full Time Long Service Leave replacement contract until 13/01/2023

Applications are sought from experienced Sonographers interested in securing a contract in a senior role at BRHS.  This is a great opportunity to secure full time work and enjoy a change of pace with an amazing work/life balance available living in beautiful East Gippsland.  Potential exists for ongoing work following this contract completion.  

The Position:

You will work in a modern and progressive department within a rural health care setting providing expert Sonography services to Medical Imaging clients and clinicians.  You will be part of a small, highly valued team of Sonographers who are respected, autonomous, and participate in discussions with care providers as valued contributors to patient well-being.  This is a true generalist role offering a brilliant variety of pathology and presentation across all ultrasound regions, making every day different and interesting.

The Department:

We operate over a variety of specialities and our facilities comprise state of the art equipment.  Our Medical Imaging department has expanded in recent years with the installation of a GE 1.5T MRI machine, the latest Toshiba CT scanner, modern procedure rooms and the introduction of a multidisciplinary clinic in the Bairnsdale CBD.  A full range of interventional and fluoroscopic procedures are undertaken within the department with our service also being complimented by the expertise of visiting Radiologists. 

What you need:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Imaging or equivalent and relevant registration
  • Minimum 3 years' sonography experience preferred and current enrolment in a CPD program
  • Post graduate qualifications in a specialised modality (Ultrasound)
  • A high level of knowledge of current Medical Imaging practices
  • Comprehensive knowledge in ultrasound with proven experience using a range of ultrasound equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and assertively with a wide range of people
