Position Details

Contract: Ongoing, Full-Time.

BRHS Medical Imaging department is located in the picturesque East Gippsland region of Victoria.  It services a population of 45,000 people and offers a wide range of medical imaging services including MRI, ultra-low dose CT (including cardiac), ultrasound, mammography, BMD, general x-ray, OPG and image-guided procedures. Bairnsdale is located 3 hours east of Melbourne by car and is a little over 2 hours from the Mt Hotham ski fields.

Two fantastic opportunities have become available for Radiographers at the Grade 2-3 level to join our BRHS medical imaging team.

These positions offer the successful candidates the perfect opportunity to enhance and expand your skills within a modern and dynamic department and consolidate your leadership skills at the Grade 3 level.   We will assist you to fast-track your career with training in advanced imaging modalities MRI and CT.  If you love a challenge and value a professional and supportive environment, this is your opportunity!

To be successful:

  • Demonstrated experience in General X-ray
  • Demonstrated experience in CT would be an advantage but not essential (CT training will be provided as required)
  • Demonstrated abilities in providing patient care and customer service delivery standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and unsupervised within the scope of assessed competencies.

Key selection criteria:

  • Bachelor or Applied Science in Medical Imaging or equivalent.
  • AHPRA Registration as Radiographer.
  • Demonstrated experience in General X-Ray
  • Department of Health Radiation Use License.
  • Membership with ASMIRT & current enrolment in a CPD program.
  • Demonstrated abilities in providing patient care and customer service delivery standards.
