Position Details

Ongoing, Part Time

64.0 hours per fortnight

Our Quality and Risk unit at BRHS has a new opportunity for an experienced health professional to provide support and advice to all clinical units to enhance the provision of safe, effective person-centred care.

In this role you will participate in the development of systems for monitoring and review of standards of care and the patient experience.  You will use data to assist units to achieve standards, identify areas for improvement and provide support for systems based strategies.  You will provide a high level of advice and support to clinical areas with a focus on meeting accreditation standards and going beyond compliance to ensure continuous quality improvement occurs. The incumbent will be competent at influencing and contributing to a ‘just' and supportive improvement culture.  If you have accreditation preparation experience and a strong interest in quality improvement and then this role could be the change you are looking for.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Health professional background with relevant qualifications and minimum 5 years clinical experience
  • Good understanding of and experience in methodology required to achieve high standards, identify risks and continuously improve clinical standards.
  • Experience in planning and implementing preparation for Accreditation including interpreting standards, determining and understanding gaps, evidence files, risks, educating staff and coordinating meetings to meet the set standards.
  • Well-developed analytics an ability to associate different information for trend reports and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Be solution focused and have competence in systems approaches to ensure continuous improvements are implement.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and embed change.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a part of a small, highly motivated team.
