The Contract: Ongoing, Full Time, 80.0 hours per fortnight
Applications are sought from skilled professionals with project experience to oversee the implementation of Electronic Medical Records at (Bairnsdale Regional Health Service) BRHS. This unique role offers a great opportunity to work within a complex hospital environment and add this key project role to your experience.
The Project:
Bairnsdale Regional Health Service is planning to implement the selected Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as part of the Gippsland Health Alliance (GHA) Electronic Medical Record and Community Health System (EMRCH) Project. The Project will facilitate the delivery of a single individual electronic longitudinal patient health record for members of the community of Gippsland.
The Position:
The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Coordinator will facilitate the resources at BRHS and plan and coordinate the EMR Project in conjunction with the Gippsland Health Alliance (GHA) Project team. This position will play a key part in the roll out of the EMR Project at BRHS ensuring that stakeholder and business expectations are met by confirming organisational readiness. The role will work closely with GHA Project Workers and dedicated BRHS subject matter experts to ensure project objectives are achieved.
What you need:
- Minimum of 4 years relevant administrative experience
- EMR experience using Sunrise is required
- Cert 4 in training and development or willingness to undertake training
- An understanding of patient health information systems and data management, or a genuine interest in developing further skills.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to find inefficiencies with workflows and processes.
- High computer literacy with a genuine interest and understanding of medical record requirements (within their area of knowledge and expertise) and a willingness to learn new software for documenting and influencing workflow changes.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of confidentiality of both staff and patient information.
