STATUS:             Ongoing, Part Time

HOURS:              48.0 hours per fortnight

The Electronic Medical Record has been successfully implemented at BRHS and we are now looking for a clinician with experience in an acute or sub-acute area to join the team in a clinical subject matter expert role.   

Subject Matter Experts (SME) provide a broad range of clinical expertise, as required, to inform and support the continued success of EMR.  The Clinical SME will work closely with the EMR Coordinator and with the Gippsland Health Alliance (GHA) Project team.  The position plays an important role in ensuring that clinical information needs, education, testing are met within the area of expertise.

Applicants are required to have:

  • Current experience in a clinical setting
  • At least 3 years' experience in an acute settin
  • Familiar and comfortable with Sunrise EMR
  • Medication Endorsement is required if EEN
  • A good level of operational knowledge excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to find inefficiencies with workflows and processes
  • High computer literacy with a genuine interest and understanding of medical record requirements and a willingness to learn new software for documenting and influencing clinical workflow changes
