Position Details

Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is the leading healthcare provider in East Gippsland, committed to delivering safe, high‑quality care to our community. We are seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Coordinator to play a key organisational role in strengthening BRHS's risk management, compliance and governance systems.

The Contract: Ongoing, Full-Time, 80.0 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO

The Role:

As our Risk & Compliance Coordinator, you will play a key role in strengthening organisational governance at BRHS. You'll coordinate our risk frameworks and registers, support accreditation and internal audit activities, assist in legislative compliance reporting, and help maintain strong business continuity planning. Working collaboratively across departments and with sub‑regional partners, you'll provide clear advice, meaningful reporting and practical support to embed effective risk, compliance and governance practices across the organisation

What We're Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Governance, Compliance or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Risk, Compliance or Governance role.
  • Public sector or healthcare experience preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of contemporary risk management frameworks (e.g. ISO‑31000) beneficial.
