Bairnsdale Regional Health Service's award-winning Aged Care facility, Maddocks Gardens, is seeking a passionate and skilled Aged Care Educator to form an integral part of our Learning, Support and Development team.

The Contract:  Ongoing Part-Time, 64.00 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday

The Position:

In this role you will work alongside other Educators to develop and manage an education program for all Maddocks Gardens staff, supporting the delivery of high-quality care and services to our residents. Responsibilities will include reviewing orientation and education processes and implementing improvements, reviewing policies and procedures and working collaboratively with other BRHS educators.

What you need:

  • Registered Nurse with minimum 3 years acute or aged care clinical experience.
  • Recent experience providing clinical supervision for undergraduate nursing students.
  • Sound understanding of programs that can support clinical staff to achieve person-centered, high-quality evidence-based health care.
  • Knowledge of teaching and assessment principles including Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment Principles (BPCLE).

The Team:

The BRHS Learning, Support and Development team consists of a knowledgeable and friendly team of highly experienced nurses who are dedicated to the education, training and development of nurses and other clinical staff at BRHS. Maddocks Gardens is a purpose built 90 bed complex combining BRHS high, low and respite care residential services.
