About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

The County Court of Victoria is established pursuant to the County Court Act 1958. It has original and appellate jurisdiction and is the principal trial court in the State of Victoria. The Court hears over 12,000 criminal, common law, and commercial cases each year. The County Court has unlimited monetary jurisdiction in common law and commercial matters. In its criminal jurisdiction, the Court hears all indictable offences except treason, murder, and related offences.
There are a total of 80 Judges of the Court and over 300 staff, including judicial support staff. The County Court regularly conducts circuit sittings at 12 circuit courts situated in major centres throughout regional Victoria.

About the Role
The vision of the Records Management Team at County Court Victoria is to be recognised and trusted by colleagues as a team that advises, guides and audits on effective and compliant management of records in all formats. There are currently three team members including this position. You will need to use your skills and experience in communication, customer service and stakeholder engagement, along with good time management and prioritisation skills, to collaborate with and provide advice to colleagues to ensure that records are managed in line with PROV standards.
This role contributes to a diverse range of records management activities including providing training and advice, developing staff resources such as intranet content, undertaking records disposition (including destruction and transfer of permanent records to PROV), contributing to quality assurance, audit and monitoring programs and more. Some current team goals that you will contribute to include:
- Contribute to governance and oversight activities for the use of M365 (such as Teams teams and SharePoint sites) to create/capture and manage some records and information
- Document and improve routine operational tasks including how queries to the team are received, recorded and reported on
- Disposition of records with a current focus on historical physical records which are due for permanent destruction or transfer to PROV, and preparations for the disposition of electronic records
- Contribute to the review and development of risk information for records management.
About You
The role requires a strong commitment to service excellence and the ability to self manage and prioritise tasks. You will have a records management qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training, including an understanding of records management standards and of recordkeeping considerations for digital records and information in a range of systems.
The position description outlines all key selection criteria, including knowledge and skills around problem solving, communication, organisation and planning, relationship building and more. A records and information management qualification is highly regarded but not mandatory.
