Data Enabler
- Design, develop, and maintain data models and schemas within Azure Data Warehouse and Dynamics 365, ensuring alignment with business requirements and data governance standards
- Develop and maintain data models to support the organisation’s data architecture strategy, ensuring that data structures are optimised for analytics and reporting
- Manage data pipelines and workflows across the Azure ecosystem to streamline data ingestion, transformation, and storage for reporting and analytics

Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

VCAT
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
About the Role
This role reports to the Senior Manager of the Data and Insights team, within the Experience, Strategy, and Transformation division at VCAT. Key internal stakeholders include operational teams, the CMS project team, and VCAT-IT, alongside external stakeholders such as CAV, DGC, CSV-IT, and Cenitex.
Key accountabilities of this role are:
- Data and Analysis Platform Development: ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of data within the Azure Data Warehouse and Dynamics 365, leveraging a data lake to deliver reliable, high-quality data to end-users.
- Analytical Reporting:
- Design and manage analytical reports in Power BI, enabling timely, accurate, and actionable data insights.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate these requirements into technical solutions that align with the organisation's objectives.
About You
Technical Skills Requirements:
- Proficiency in designing data models and schemas, with a solid understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.
- Experience with Azure Data Warehouse and Fabric Data Platform for data integration, storage, and management.
- Proficiency in Dynamics 365 for data integration and working knowledge of the Dynamics schema.
- Advanced skills in Power BI, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and dashboard creation.
- Ability to design and implement data visualisations that support business insights and decision-making.
- Proficiency in Azure data tools, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data transformation, and data pipeline management.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot data issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies across platforms.
- Experience with performance tuning in Power BI, Azure Data Warehouse, and Dynamics 365.
- Understanding of data governance practices, data quality standards, and security compliance within the Victorian Public Service.
- Experience with data access controls and permissions management to safeguard data integrity and security.
- Experience with using Kingswaysoft and SSIS

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
