An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Division Lawyer to join the Common Law Division at the County Court. This is a new role within the Court that will provide increased support to the Judges and Judicial Registrar within the Common Law Division to ensure the just, efficient, timely and cost effective disposition of proceedings.

As the Division Lawyer you will significantly contribute to improving the overall efficiency of the Division by focusing on the active case management of cause and jury personal injury matters between mediation and final hearing date. This will involve actively managing parties to ensure that matters are ready to commence on the schedule final hearing date. In doing so you will work very closely and collaboratively with the Judges and Judicial Registrar.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about contributing to the future direction of the Court and can hit the ground running. Ideally, you will have post-admission experience in civil litigation, including knowledge and/or experience in the Common Law jurisdiction of the County Court (in particular personal injury claims). Exceptional communication skills together with your ability to work flexibly within a dynamic environment will ensure your success in this role.
