About the Role
As a Division Lawyer you will significantly contribute to improving the overall efficiency of the Division by focusing on the active case management of personal injury matters in their pre trial stages. This will involve:
- Proactively liaising with parties to ensure matters are ready to commence on the trial date
- Triaging and analysing any interlocutory issues and disputes
- Conducting mediations
- Playing an active role in the development and implementation of practice and procedures within the Common Law Division
- Working closely and collaboratively with the judges, in particular the Head of the Common Law Division, judicial registrars and the Common Law Registry
About You
Applicants are required to be, or eligible to be, an Australian Legal Practitioner. Ideally, you will have post-admission experience in civil litigation with an interest in alternate dispute resolution.
