Position Details

The Managing Associate List Courts operates within a complex and demanding environment that requires capacity to exercise judgment, excellent organisational skills and leadership.

Each of the General and Sexual Offences Lists are supported by two List Associates and operate independently both in processes and the support that is provided. Backfilling of List Associates during times of leave is difficult due to available trained resources and the specialised nature of the work.

The Criminal Division objectives for support of the List Courts are to; maximise consistency in practice across the lists; enhance data collection; and achieve a sustainable staff resourcing model that addresses resourcing for peak workloads, leave coverage and succession planning. The Managing Associate List Courts will work in consultation with the Deputy CEO and Judges in charge of Lists to deliver on these objectives.

To lead, develop and manage the team of List Associates responsible for the effective delivery of support to the Judges in the General and Sexual Offences Lists.
