The Commission is an independent statutory body established to promote continuous improvement and innovation in policies and practices relating to the safety and wellbeing of:
- Victorian children and young people generally, and
- Vulnerable children and young people in particular.

The core functions of the Analysis and Strategy team are reporting and analysis, external scanning and monitoring, and is a central policy function for the Commission. The team’s analysis underpins the Commission’s advice, engagement, compliance and enforcement activity. The team also collects and analyses data to support the Commission’s strategic goals and legislative functions.
The team is also responsible for reviewing the application of external policies, programs and procedures and monitoring their impact on the work of the Commission. The team is responsible for analysis and scanning of regulatory services and other sectors relevant to the Commission’s jurisdiction.
Who are we looking for?
The Manager, Analysis and Strategy manages a team with diverse research, data analytics and policy capabilities. You will be a strategic leader who can provide strong people and project management expertise, strategic policy and research skills, as well as holding strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and system capabilities.
You will be adept at synthesising information from multiple sources to determine critical issues for action and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing and changing priorities. In addition you will have a demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the Leadership team to achieve organisational objectives.
