Position Details

Team Leader, Inquiries Team

The Team Leader, Inquiries and Engagement sits within the Inquiries Team at the Commission for Children and Young People and is one of two positions responsible for managing and reviewing the work of the team. The team is responsible for preparing inquiry reports for child death, individual and systemic inquiries conducted by the Commission.

The role works under the supervision of the Manager, Inquiries and Engagement and assists the Manager in providing leadership to and management of the Inquiries team. The role will involve overseeing the work of up to 5 direct reports and ensuring that reports are produced to a high standard and in a timely manner.

The position is responsible for assisting the Manager with the project management of the inquiries workload and for providing authoritative and consistent advice to the Principal Commissioner on inquiries as necessary. The Team Leader is also responsible in developing strong stakeholder relationships as part of the conduct of inquiries and the implementation of inquiry recommendations.
