The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) was established on 1 January 2019 to ensure Victoria's strong economic performance by growing industries and regions. Here at DJPR, we're making sure Victoria's economy benefits all Victorians by creating more jobs for more people, building thriving places and regions and nurturing inclusive communities.
Our work supports six ministers, spans 12 portfolios and operates across metropolitan, regional and international offices. We also oversee various public entities, including public corporations, regulatory authorities and specialist boards.

Drive economic growth through trade and investment for the state
Global Victoria is based in Melbourne and is Victoria's gateway to global economies and communities. As Victoria's trade promotion and facilitation agency, Global Victoria sits within the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions. Global Victoria and its Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) international offices lead global engagement for Victoria by opening doors and connecting Victorian companies to global trade opportunities, as well as by promoting the state's leading and world class capabilities to international audiences.
As Commissioner for Victoria, you will formally represent the State Government in all aspects of business and assist to implement priorities across South East Asia. Working closely with your Global Victoria colleagues, you will build and leverage deep relationships in order to identify strategic initiatives to grow the export pipeline and foreign direct investment for Victoria. Managing operations and a high performing team across multiple VGTI offices within the South East Asia region, you will ensure that Victorian capability and businesses are well positioned and drive the achievement of business objectives.
Highly qualified and well-regarded by industry and government, your exceptional skills in diplomacy are matched by your abilities in creating relationships that lead to growth or trade facilitation. Your proven history in delivery of commercial initiatives is complemented by your astute take on political and policy context. You have insight into the broad region and how Victorian business can make an impact in the region.
