About the Role
As our Head of Finance and Investments, you will lead a dedicated team who are responsible for all accounting, investments, contract, procurement and facilities management activities. You will drive financial and operational performance by creating financial forecasting models, driving profitable investment outcomes for State Trustees clients and corporate and ensuring all activities comply with regulations. You will also deliver accurate and timely reporting and payment to all regulatory authorities.

You will act as a trusted advisor to State Trustees' executives and leadership team using data analytical tools to add value in business decision making for financially sustainable outcomes for State Trustees. You will act as a financial steward to monitor the organisations' financial position against budgets and forecasts and ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal control requirements.

Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will have the following:

  • Experience as a Head of Finance, Director of Finance or similar role
  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Experience managing teams and achieving goals by coordinating resources, processes, systems people and policies
  • Thorough understanding of financial controllership function, legislation and operations
  • Strong financial literacy, including financial management and forecasting
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Experience delivering business partnering and trusted advisory services
  • Experience in change management
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to present with gravitas to Boards and Executives.
  • Intermediate computer literacy
