Position Summary:


The Senior Policy Adviser in the Community Care Sector Development Team is responsible for providing advice, managing projects and stakeholder management to implement the funding agreement and the MOU with the Department of Health for delivering change management in the context of aged care reform and the National Disability Insurance Scheme in Victoria.

The Senior Policy Adviser works closely with the Manager and other staff in the team and with sector development coordinators across the State, other staff in the Community Care and Assessment Unit, the DHHS Divisions, the Commonwealth Department of Health, Local Government and other stakeholders, internal and external to the Department.

  • An experienced change manager with a capacity to understand and prosecute policy and practice issues to a successful conclusion.
  • An excellent communicator in a range of media and forums and
  • A clear thinker and very well organised
