About Us

We are VMIA (Victorian Managed Insurance Authority) and work with our clients to help Victorians to thrive. We provide risk advice and insurance services to the Victorian Government, helping clients to manage their risks, prevent harm, and help them recover quickly when things go wrong.

Our clients include Victorian government departments, public hospitals, galleries, road and rail systems, community service organisations and registered residential builders.

About the role

VMIA's unique position within the Victorian public sector provides us with unrivalled access to data. As we work towards the next stage of our development, and seek opportunities to further enhance our purpose, reputation and client experience, we are putting data at the heart of our decision making.

The Business Analyst is key to helping build the foundations of a data and research driven advisory practice. Sitting within the Insights team, the role works across a variety of projects and intiatives, which impact and inform ongoing business strategies.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of our organisation's decision-making capabilities at an exciting stage of VMIA's development. You will work collegially with peers across the organisations and outside stakeholders to deliver a contemporary, insights driven culture that meets the future needs of the business and our clients.

About you

  • 3-5 years within a Business Analyst role, or similar project based experience.
  • You can demonstrate a solid understanding and conceptual knowledge of how data can be linked to service provision.
  • Experience from an insurance, risk or health related industry will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and influence stakeholders to deliver on agreed programs and outcomes.
