ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to VicScreen's Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Content & Talent, leads the strategy, people and resources of the Content & Talent Division overseeing the development and execution of strategies to elevate Victorian children's, factual, drama, digital games, online, television and feature content. Delivering high-value programs, services and initiatives that strengthen and grow Victoria's screen industry, they support the creation of quality Victorian content, drive industry jobs and growth, and help develop the skills and talent of Victorian screen practitioners.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Are you a senior leader with a sharp creative eye and deep screen industry insight?
VicScreen is seeking a visionary Director, Content and Talent to help shape the future of screen and games content in Victoria.
You're someone who can identify a standout concept from a distance, and you know the right people to bring it to life. With extensive experience in the development and production of screen and/or digital games content, you've held key creative or executive roles that have earned you the trust of industry peers. You're a respected leader, advisor, strategic collaborator, and a driving force behind successful projects.
Your leadership credentials are well established, and you bring a confident, solutions-focused approach to working with creators, studios, and stakeholders. Experience navigating government frameworks and processes will be highly regarded, as you'll play a pivotal role in aligning industry ambition with public investment and policy.
You'll also have:
- Business and Commercial Acumen: Deep and demonstrated understanding of market dynamics, economic indicators, and industry trends which shape program structures and funding models.
- Strategic Planning and Subject Matter Expertise: Ability to inspire a shared vision and sense of purpose aligned with organisational goals, and an understanding of internal and external factors influencing strategic direction.
- Policy, Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships which inform policy development and secure stakeholder support. Strong conceptual and analytical skills enable you to assess complex issues, identify implications, and develop sustainable solutions.
- Organisational leadership: Proven ability to align teams with organisational goals, while fostering development and modelling strong leadership
