  • VPS Grade 5: $113,022 - $136,747 plus superannuation

About Us:

Redress Design and Delivery (RDD) is responsible for administering two redress schemes that acknowledge past harm, provide a range of support options for individuals who have experienced harm, and operate independently from the organisation responsible for causing the harm. It provides high-quality strategic policy advice, and is responsible for administration and delivery of frontline services.

The RDD business unit administers the schemes via ‘scheme based teams.' Each team consists of a Senior Manager, Team Leader, Principal Consultant, Senior Consultants, Senior Assessors and support staff. The Strategy and Operations team provide policy, compliance, monitoring and business support across all two schemes.  

About the Role:

The role provides case management to participants and applicants to redress schemes managed by the business unit. The responsibilities of the role include assisting them through the application process, facilitating access to support services, and providing a single point of contact for a participant throughout their engagement with the schemes. The role will best suit a candidate who is resilient and empathetic.   

Some of your duties will include:

  • Effectively managing a caseload of participants who have experienced trauma, mental health and/or ill health concerns.
  • Using highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to use appropriate interviewing techniques with participants.
  • Facilitating effective participant access to counselling, therapeutic services, and/or medical support. 

About You:

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in providing victim-centric case management to vulnerable individuals, with specialist knowledge in allied health, or working with victims of crime, abuse, sexual violence, and/or mental health.
  • Highly developed client engagement and case formulation skills, including excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate policy framework for the scheme and the unique considerations of participant-centred restorative justice.

Qualifications:

  • A qualification and relevant experience in counselling, social work, psychology, and/or nursing
  • Previous experience in dealing with vulnerable people, providing victim support and case management is essential.
  • Ability to manage high caseloads and meet strict deadlines.
