The Recruitment Support Officer is part of the Recruitment Operations team. The role provides administrative and customer service support to the team on a wide range of recruitment related matters. This includes but is not limited to:

  • providing administrative support to enable recruitment i.e. updating documents, processing recruitment activity and tracking activities and tasks

  • preparing basic documents including reports, PowerPoint presentations, graphs and charts

  • organising and maintaining office files and utilising electronic records management systems and other systems effectively

  • providing general administration support for the Recruitment Operations team, which includes preparation of correspondence as required and responding to ad-hoc tasks that arise

  • responding efficiently to enquiries received via the phone, electronically, in writing or in person in a professional, courteous manner.



We are seeking a motivated self-starter who is able to follow direction, provide operational support and work as part of a team. An understanding of working in a business environment, along with strong organisational and communication skills would be beneficial although not essential. 

The talent we are seeking for these roles is someone who:

  • thinks critically and can problem solve: seeks resolution of problems through policy or process guidelines; otherwise seeks guidance by providing information and ideas relevant towards resolution of problem

  • has digital and technological literacy skills: performs a range of tasks through digital tools i.e. Microsoft 365 suite applications

  • communicates effectively: organises information in a logical sequence which is appropriate to the purpose and target audience

  • can manage stakeholders: responds to clients' needs; keeps the client up to date with issues and developments; promptly follows through on inquiries, requests and complaints; takes responsibility for correcting problems promptly

  • enjoys working collaboratively: cooperates and works well with others in pursuit of team goals; shares information and acknowledges others' efforts; steps in to help others where required.

Please note that for this role you must:
  • be 18 years of age or older

  • have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, Autistic Disorder or PDD-NOS

  • have the ability to gain Fit4Work and security clearance through relevant checks (this will be conducted through the employer)

  • be able to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination (3 doses). Please refer to Important Information below.


DJCS (the department) is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment which is safe and without risk to the health of its employees consistent with the department's obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Victoria). Therefore, there is a requirement that all DJCS employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to undertake duties outside of their homes.

At the interview stage or prior to commencement of employment with the department, you will need to provide evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 with three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. 

Acceptable evidence includes:

  2. your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account).

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
