  • Utilise your Accounting expertise to provide support and advice to the Safety Wellbeing and Compliance branch
  • A Fixed-Term, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service for 12 months
  • VPS Grade 3: $79,122 - $96,073 plus superannuation.

People, Safety, Culture and Communications' core functions span the breadth of workplace cultural and people matters, including human resource policy and strategy; organisational culture and change; recruitment, redeployment and retention; performance and development; pay, benefits and workforce reporting; occupational health and safety management; and employment regulations.

About the Role:

The WorkCover Payroll Administration Officer sits within Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance, a branch within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's People, Safety, Culture and Communications unit. 

Some of your duties will include:

  • Undertake WorkCover claim administration and calculation of weekly WorkCover payments
  • Process all relevant WorkCover payments, including weekly and “Top Up” payments in CHRIS21
  • Enter and maintain relevant leave records in CHRIS21 / Time Target.

About You:

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Experience in using the use of payroll systems CHRIS21, including Time Target, is strongly desired.
  • Experience in processing workers compensation payments is strongly desired.
  • The ability to consider data sources, collection and structure impacts in the delivery of data analysis, being able to generate descriptive statistics and relevant data visualisation leading to decisions under the guidance from subject matter experts.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is not essential, however, would be highly regarded.
