Position Details

  • You will help manage contracts that support justice services across Victoria.
  • You will work with senior staff on important contract tasks.
  • You'll use data and systems to keep contracts on track.
  • You'll build skills in contract management within the Victorian Public Service.
  • Ongoing, full-time role earning $100,894 - $114,476 per year, plus super.

What you will do

As contract officer, you will support senior staff with contract work.

You will keep contract records accurate and help track contract performance.

You will:

  • manage accurate contract records and keep files up to date.
  • track contract dates, finances and supplier performance using clear reports.
  • use Excel, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Oracle and Zycus to support your work.
  • check contract activities against government rules, policies and department procedures.
  • help improve contract monitoring and support site visits across Victorian facilities.

About you

You will ideally have relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, supply chain, commerce, law or business administration. Experience or knowledge of government procurement and policies is also highly desirable.

You should also have:

  • contract skills to manage changes, suppliers, finances and contract records.
  • data skills to use Excel formulas, pivot tables, charts and reports.
  • problem-solving skills to review information and resolve issues clearly.
  • communication skills to work with others and explain information simply.
