About Us:

Road Safety manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) in Victoria's road safety partnership. Road Safety contributes to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and the policy and strategic directions of the broader road safety enforcement. Road Safety is accountable to the Minister for Police and the Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner.

About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager - Program Delivery and is an integral member of the senior leadership team. The Senior Project Manager will lead a team through the delivery of complex mobile camera projects across Road Safety. The role is expected to provide high level project management and delivery expertise and advice to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the program of works within Road Safety.

The position will be required to liaise with specialist project management staff, finance and contract management staff and technical and operations teams through each stage of the project delivery lifecycle. They will be required to establish and maintain effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholder groups including suppliers, vendors and contractors.

About You:

As an ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Expert knowledge and proven ability in the effective management and delivery of complex and high-risk projects, preferably in a Government setting.
  • Demonstrated ability in understanding camera equipment, construction, testing and hand over for enforcement processes under the Victorian Road Safety Camera Program.
  • Demonstrated ability to compile briefs, manage project schedules and reporting governance materials, while liaising with partners and presenting project proposals to key stakeholders for decision-making.
  • Relevant project management experience is highly desirable.
