- VPS Grade 5: $109,730 - $132,764 plus superannuation.
About Us:
The Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 commits to the ambitious target of eliminating death from our roads by 2050, with the first step of halving road deaths by 2030. It also seeks to reduce the incidence of serious injury resulting from road crashes.
The Road Safety manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) in Victoria's road safety partnership. Road Safety contributes to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and the policy and strategic directions of the broader road safety enforcement. Road Safety is accountable to the Minister for Police and the Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner.
About the Role:
The purpose of the Senior Project Officer is to provide guidance to support the senior project manager and project manager in the management of capital projects. The Senior Project Officer will provide develop, deliver, and manage artefacts relating to change management, project governance, reporting requirements and quality assurance of finished artefacts relating to systems and network-based security systems throughout the procurement and delivery cycle, and where appropriate plan.
The Senior Project Officer is an integral member of the Projects Team and will be skilful in working in a technical and outsourced environment, working with a variety of stakeholder groups, third party providers. The position will develop, deliver, and manage the writing of briefs, change proposals, project documents and other deliverables to project staff, key stakeholders, and senior management. The position also acts as a liaison among the various stakeholders and understanding structure, policies, and operations of the organisation, and recommends solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals.

About You:
As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated ability in understanding camera equipment, construction, testing and hand over for enforcement processes under the Victorian Road Safety Camera Program.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of project artefacts for technical infrastructure projects, within a Road Safety or similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience in presenting project proposals to key stakeholders for decision making.
- Relevant project management experience is highly desirable.
