Position Details
- Utilise your Project Delivery expertise to provide support and advice to the Redress Design and Delivery business unit
- A Fixed-Term, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service until 31st December 2026
- VPS Grade 5: $113,022 - $136,747 plus superannuation.
About the Business Unit:
Redress Design and Delivery (RDD) is responsible for administering two redress schemes that acknowledge past harm, provide a range of support options for individuals who have experienced harm, and operate independently from the organisation responsible for causing the harm. It provides high-quality strategic policy advice and is responsible for administration and delivery of frontline services.
The RDD business unit administers the schemes via ‘scheme-based teams.' Each team consists of a Senior Manager, Team Leader, Principal Consultant, Senior Consultants, Senior Assessors and support staff. The Strategy and Operations team provide policy, compliance, monitoring and business support across all three schemes.
The Strategy and Operations function is responsible for strategic planning, policy and procedures, financial management, performance reporting, communications, stakeholder engagement and resource management to ensure efficient administration of multiple redress schemes.
About the Role:
In the role of the Senior Project Officer, some of your duties will include:
- Planning, coordinating, and managing priority projects within the Strategy and Operations team, ensuring consistency with business plan objectives and effective service delivery for multiple schemes
- Assisting and leading the decommissioning plan for the Victoria Police Redress Scheme, including transition planning, stakeholder communication, and closure of scheme activities
- Proactively managing issues and risk registers, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of risks and issues.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Proven experience in leading, planning, and managing complex projects or programs within a government or similar environment, including decommissioning or closure activities
- Demonstrated ability to manage briefs, issues, and risk registers, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of risks and issues
- Strong experience in interpreting data and using insights to inform project planning, reporting, and decision-making
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant area and significant experience working in Victorian Government will be well-regarded.
