Position Details
- Provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to the Deputy Secretary, Police, Racing, Victims and Coordination (PRVC)
- Provide high level support and coordination within a complex environment and contributes to initiatives as required, including corporate and business support projects
- Coordinate written correspondence and departmental briefings through the Office of the Deputy Secretary, and PRVC Business Units, Offices of the Associate Secretary and the Secretary, and Ministerial offices
- Coordinate PRVC responses to corporate reporting and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests
- VPS4 salary: $97,955 to $111,142 plus superannuation
About the Business Units
The Police, Racing, Victims and Coordination (PRVC) group is responsible for promoting community safety and wellbeing through public policy, governance and legislative advice and reform across several critical justice priority areas. PRVC is also responsible for providing key support to our Justice Ministers for Cabinet and Cabinet Committees. PRVC comprises four business units, including the Office of Racing, Ministerial Services, Policy Reform and Programs, Police and Community Safety, and Victim Services, Support and Reform.
About the Role
The Executive Coordinator leads the provision of high-quality executive, administrative, corporate, and business support services to the Office of the Deputy Secretary, PRVC. This includes the management of correspondence, leading corporate and business support projects and various internal financial, human resources, and data and performance reporting processes. The role requires superior capability in administrative and coordination functions, including coordinating and assisting with briefings and correspondence and the ability to provide advice and engage and communicate well with stakeholders.
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will also have:
- Proven experience in providing executive support to senior executives within a large organisation and with limited supervision in a sensitive and fast-paced environment.
- Sound knowledge of the processes, policies and procedures within government and understanding of public sector accountability.
- Demonstrated experience in providing quality assurance for briefs, letters, and emails using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work well and effectively with people across the department and VPS.
- Strong service excellence skills, with an ability to make clients and their needs a primary focus for maintaining satisfaction.

Qualifications
A qualification in administration or a similar discipline is desirable but not mandatory.
