Position Details
- Use your training coordination expertise to support the MARAM Family Violence Learning and Capability team. Scheduling training, building stakeholder relationships, and managing communications with excellent attention to detail and processes is required.
- Collect, analyse and share data on training participant numbers and training evaluations for internal and external evaluation and audit purposes, with a demonstrated ability to create engaging written reports and presentations.
- VPS 4 position: $97,955 to $111,142 on a fixed-term contract to 30 June 2027.
About the Business Unit:
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a trusted justice and community safety system that works to build a just, safe and resilient Victoria. The department has ongoing obligations under the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 (Act)to align to the MARAM Framework, implement the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme and Child Information Sharing Scheme, and is committed to providing best practice in family violence prevention, identification and response.
People, Safety, Culture and Communications (PSCC) lead the department's strategic people functions and ensure our workforce has the right skills and capabilities, culture and working environment to achieve its strategic priorities.
The MARAM Family Violence Learning and Capability team leads in building workforce capabilities of the department and prescribed funded agencies to identify and respond to family violence by developing and delivering customised training, according to the specific context of the workforce and applicable reforms. The team sits in the Learning and Capability function of PSCC.
About the Role:
As Learning and Capability Officer - Co-ordination and Data in the MARAM Family Violence Learning and Capability team, you will be responsible for supporting family violence capability uplift aligned to the MARAM Framework. You will work alongside VPS 4 and VPS 5 colleagues in the team.
You will report to the Learning and Capability Lead Consultant - Family Violence and will lead all training coordination and data functions for the team. An excellent attention to detail will support this work and allow you to contribute to development of new training packages.
Some of your duties will include:
- Leading the training coordination function for the MARAM Family Violence Learning and Capability team, including scheduling, pre- and post-training communication with participants, managing a team inbox, and arranging trainer travel, accommodation, and other supports
- Collecting, analysing and sharing data on training participant numbers and training evaluations for internal and external evaluation and audit purposes. Strong attention to detail is essential, as is a demonstrated ability to create engaging written reports and presentations
- Hold primary responsibility for managing the team's presence on the DJCS Learning Management System (Nexus) as well as all attendance and evaluation data (Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Excel, Power Platform, including Power BI) to ensure data accuracy for reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement purposes.
Your administrative and data expertise will support the critical family violence work undertaken by the MARAM Family Violence Learning and Capability team.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience providing high quality administrative support, coordination, and/or scheduling with strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Demonstrated excellence in working accurately with large data sets, filtering data, and using appropriate tools. This may include experience using Learning Management System platforms, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, or a willingness to learn these tools
- Experience creating reports on training outcomes (or equivalent activities) for an executive audience would be highly beneficial.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Formal qualifications / training, or relevant experience, with the Microsoft suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power Platform) is advantageous.
