Position Details
- Utilise your expertise in policy to provide support and advice to Ministerial Services and Coordination
- 2 x fixed-term, full-time opportunities to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service
- VPS Grade 4: $97,955 - $111,142plus superannuation.
About the Business Unit:
Ministerial Services and Coordination is responsible for providing critical departmental and ministerial coordination support. This includes coordinating and preparing briefings for ministers and executives to attend intergovernmental forums and Public Accounts and Estimates Committee (PAEC) hearings.
About the Role:
As the Policy Officer, you will be responsible for supporting coordination activities for the department's incoming government briefs and to assist the Government implement its election commitments and priorities.
Some of your duties will include:
- Supporting the development of department wide advice to relevant Ministers and departmental executives on a wide variety of issues
- Contributing expertise to a team working on key coordination activities with some guidance and direction, to ensure development of considered briefings, advice and delivery of project objectives
- With some guidance and direction, leading the delivery of key activities to contribute to project delivery of coordination activities including engaging with relevant stakeholders, recognising potential barriers and developing options to deal with them.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the successful delivery of whole of department coordination processes
- Demonstrated ability to prepare well-written, timely, concise, accurate and audience-appropriate briefings and reports.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in a related discipline would be highly desirable.
