Position Details

About The Role

In this role, you will be reporting to the Director Data Analytics and supervise a team of data analysts supporting a number of external audit engagements.  Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with our audit teams to understand and incorporate their requirements into the audit scope to maximise the value of data analytics
  • Providing thoughtful, considered and practical ways to overcome any barriers relating to the collection of data needed and encourage innovative problem solving using acquired data
  • Managing multiple data related engagements in our audit areas by guiding and mentoring a team of data analysts
  • Developing easy to understand data visualisations
  • Communicating data based findings to non-data analytics professionals in plain English
  • Setting expectations and monitoring third party vendors engaged to assist on using data analytics in audit engagements.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience working full time within the data analytics field, including demonstrable experience with using data analytics to understand, analyse and solving business problems
  • At least 2 of those years should be working within an external / internal audit or consulting environment
  • Experience with using dashboard building tools such as QlikSense and/ or
    Power BI 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business Systems, Business, Science, Engineering and/or Maths (multiple qualifications will be favourably considered)
  • Confident and adaptive communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in training and mentoring a team

Experience managing third party vendors engaged to assist on data analytics related engagements is highly desirable.

Extensive experience working with ETL solutions using SSIS and T-SQL will be highly regarded.
