About the Department
The role of the Department of Education is to support Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives. It does this by supporting lifelong learning and healthy development, strengthening families and helping to equip people with the skills and knowledge for a 21st century economy and society.
About the Division
Kindergarten Expansion and Pre-Prep Reform (KEPPR) works collaboratively across the Department and with the early childhood sector to undertake place-based service delivery and monitoring, support the ongoing supply of early childhood teachers and educators and deliver infrastructure projects to ensure the success of these reforms.
About the Role
With the introduction of the Best Start Best Life reforms and the ongoing implementation of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten, we have an ongoing opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our committed, collaborative, and supportive team. The purpose of this role is to support policy development and data analysis as part of the Modelling and provision team, within the Policy and Provision of KEPPR.
This role is responsible for supporting data and budget analysis related to Best Start, Best Life reform, as well as the maintenance and utilisation of a range of complex modelling tools, so strong data skills are essential. This means:
- understanding quantitative impacts of different policy options,
- being highly competent in data analysis and translating data results into insights
- using data insights to support business decisions and performance monitoring.
