About the Department

About the Division
The primary purpose of the Financial Policy and Information Services Group (the Group) is to provide strategic and technical advice in the areas of finance and resourcing, information technology and procurement.
Procurement Division leads and provides support for the Department's (including schools) goods and services procurement framework, and provides support for grants, fleet and travel management and gifts, benefits and hospitality. Procurement Division is responsible for policy and governance of goods and services procurement for corporate and schools, including the provision of support and expertise, category strategy development and select procurement activities.

A career developing opportunity exists for you as a competent Senior Sourcing and Category Management Specialist.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience in leading sourcing activities
- Have experience in managing contractual arrangements and supplier relationships
Capabilities
Can you demonstrate:
- Experience in leading sourcing activities in alignment with procurement policies and procedures and delivering savings and benefits across an organisation
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and negotiate and build relationships with clients
- Robust understanding of category management and experience in managing contractual agreements with suppliers
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3+ years procurement and/or contract management experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in procurement or CIPS qualification
