Reporting to the Manager, Health, Safety and Wellbeing Capability Team, the Senior Health and Safety Specialist Advisor is responsible for actively contributing to the review of the OHS Management System for schools- an exciting project to align policy with smarter systems, simplify processes and reduce administrative burden.
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to:
- contribute to current department and division priorities (that may evolve over time), including review of the OHS management system, and delivery of the Safe and Well in Education Strategy (the Strategy) and the Safe and Well in Education Framework(the Framework)
- develop prevention and capability policy and programs to improve the OHS and wellbeing of employees, influencing program design and implementation and informing decision making
- use your policy and systems thinking skills to work effectively with other sections of a large and complex organisation to improve employee safety and wellbeing culture

- demonstrate strong expertise in OHS management systems, programs and project management approaches and disciplines
- develop conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to think innovatively to inform future direction
- work with key internal and external stakeholders.
