About the organisation
The department leads the delivery of education and development services to children and young people both directly through government schools and indirectly through the regulation and funding of early childhood services and non-government schools.
The Schools and Regional Services Group (SRS) is the face of the department across Victoria and leads the delivery, monitoring, evaluation and improvement of services at the regional level across schools and early childhood services. Successful outcomes for children and young people are at the centre of everything SRS does.
About the role
There are four regional leadership roles that report directly to the Deputy Secretary, Schools and Regional Services. Regional Directors each lead more than 500 staff and work closely and collaboratively as part of a team to develop and implement government learning and development strategies; to design, broker and deliver high quality services that are responsive to local needs; and to monitor for and intervene in the face of provider failure. Candidates are currently sought for the North Western Victoria role.
