About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division (CTPD) is responsible for developing and supporting schools to implement the department's teaching and learning policies and providing curriculum implementation guidance to Victorian government schools.
CTPD draws on contemporary research and practice evidence to develop evidence-based teaching and learning policy reforms, co-design and implement initiatives to support schools to deliver high-quality teaching programs. CTPD has primary responsibility for providing advice and implementation support to government schools to deliver the Victorian Curriculum.
CTPD has three branches:
- Teaching and Learning
- Literacy, Languages, the Arts and Humanities
- Numeracy, STEM and Digital Learning.
The Teaching and Learning Branch provides support to improve teaching and learning in all schools.
The branch is developing lesson plans to support the implementation of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 in the priority areas of English, Mathematics, Science, Design and Technologies inclusive of the Foundation Levels A to D of the Victorian Curriculum.
About the Role
We are seeking Digital Advisors to support the quality assurance and publication of lesson plans and supporting resources onto the Arc Learning platform. In this role, you will collaborate with content owners and teams to ensure all web content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with curriculum and government standards.
We have two available positions: 1 x Full-time and 1 x Part-time (0.6 FTE) until 31 December 2025.
In this role you will:
- Review and edit web content for the Arc Learning platform.
- Ensure content meets style guides, accessibility standards, Search Engine Optimisation, and Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) requirements.
- Support content owners in reviewing and editing curriculum-aligned content and using the Arc publishing system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attributes
We are looking for a MS Word power users with exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to keep accurate records. The ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced team environment, effectively managing multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality content delivery.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with VicGov writing standards, experience editing web content, and working within content management systems. Strong knowledge of content management policies and best practices is desired, along with the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise competing tasks efficiently.
