Position Details
This full time, ongoing position is based within the Student Support Services in the Inner East Team, North East Victoria Region, at the Glen Waverley offices.
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated Psychologist to join Student Support Services (SSS) working in the Department of Education (DE) Inner East Area. SSS Psychologists work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students, families, teachers and schools. You will utilise current evidence based, high quality programs and strategies to be able to influence and build the capability of teachers and schools to support the wellbeing and learning outcomes of their students, and work collaboratively with other professionals in respect to complex cases. Flexibility, the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and the capability to work autonomously when required are key requirements for this position.
As part of an Area based Health Wellbeing and Inclusion Workforce (HWIW), you will work collaboratively to help build the capability of schools to support student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing. You will support schools to address the barriers that impact on student(s) access, preparation, and progress towards their educational goals and developmental potential.
