In addition, the Governance and Corporate Support Branch is responsible for the oversight, delivery and reporting of the compliance and audit obligations required of a statutory authority.
About the Team
The Human Resources team, within the Governance and Corporate Branch, is a specialised team responsible for delivering VECRA's core people and workplace functions. This includes HR policy and processes, end-to-end recruitment support, employee wellbeing and safety, organisational learning and development (L&D), workforce and position data, performance reporting, and the development and implementation of VECRA's Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) framework.
The team works closely with leaders across VECRA and the Department of Education to provide practical advice, maintain strong HR, OH&S and L&D governance and continuously improve how we support our people.
About the Role
The Senior HR Advisor role is key in establishing the people function of VECRA as a new regulatory organisation. Working largely across OH&S and L&D, this role will provide practical and trusted advice to managers and employees, supporting and leading the implementation of people processes and programs, and contributing to building strong foundations for VECRA's workforce capability and culture. This role provides an opportunity to make a tangible contribution in a new and still evolving organisation, shaping how OH&S and L&D are delivered and embedded across at VECRA.
Please see the ‘Role Purpose' section of the Position Description for specific roles responsibilities.

You will build positive relationships across the organisation and bring a genuine commitment to supporting our people and creating a positive workplace. You will be curious and improvement-focused, with the initiative to identify opportunities to improve HR, L&D and OH&S practices and the ability to turn these into practical, workable solutions.
