Position Details
Quality Assessment and Regulation Division
The Department of Education is the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care (ECEC) services under delegation from the Secretary. The Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD), in the Department of Education and Training, regulates and quality assesses ECEC services. QARD drives the delivery of high-quality ECEC services and ensures the safety, health and wellbeing of Victorian children attending those ECEC services.

Proposed Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled senior leader who will be responsible for the strategic overview and managerial oversight of the supervision of the two area teams within the North Eastern Victoria Region (NEVR) in the Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD).
The successful applicant will have strong leadership skills, high level organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to manage organisational risk in a high volume, complex organisational environment. The successful applicant will have demonstrated specialist knowledge in the area of early childhood education and care and/ or social regulation.
The NEVR is made up of the two sub regional areas, the Eastern Metropolitan Area and Hume Area. There are two Area Manager positions. Both positions are managed by the Regional Manager, NEVR.
As a part of the leadership team, the position will involve travel across the North East Victoria Region and this will include overnight stays. This is a full time, ongoing position at the VPS6 level and will be based in both the Glen Waverley and Benalla Office.
