Position Details

Manager Early Learning Partnerships and Insights - Ongoing / Full Time

This position plays a leading role in progressing key initiatives that make a critical contribution to the Department's reform priorities in early childhood eduction. You will lead a dynamic team responsible for programs and policies designed to support vulnerable children's access to quality early childhood education, including particularly the Early Years Compact, Early Years Agreement for Children in Out of Home Care and LOOKOUT. You will also work with a team of analyists to disseminate instights that faciliate collaboration with key stakeholders in proactively supporting children's particiaption. The successful applicant will enjoy working with multiple work streams and priorities, in an environment where responsiveness and accountability are key. This position will be part of the newly establsihed Ealry Participation Branch and will lead the Early Learning Partnerships and Insights Unit.

Key duties include:

  • policy design, monitoring and implementation
  • project management
  • liaising with regional offices, other government departments, service providers and key stakeholders
  • preparing advice for Ministerial offices and senior executives as required

The Unit is also responsible for managing data sets critical to monitoring delivery and outcomes to support participation of children in kindergarten.  Working with a team of analysts, the Manager be responsible for leading and facilitating collaboration across the Group and the Department to develop and disseminate insights derived from these data sets.
