Position Details

Quality Assessment and Regulation Division

Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD) approves and regulates about 4,600 early childhood education and care services operating across Victoria. We strive to be a best practice regulator and use a range of strategies to deliver regulatory outcomes. Our role is to ensure service operators provide safe, high-quality learning environments for children attending their services.

About the Role

Children's Services Authorised Officer

Tenure: Fixed term (until 30 June 2024)

Employment Type: Full Time

As a Children's Services Authorised Officer you will play a key role in promoting quality improvement in ECEC services by actively monitoring compliance, undertaking investigations and conducting assessment and rating visits at Victorian ECEC services.

To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative and motivated team member, who upholds organisation values in all interactions and actively contributes to a constructive culture.

This is a full time, fixed-term position (until 30 June 2024), at the VPS4 level working across the North-Eastern Victoria Region. The role involves travel across the Eastern Metropolitan Area and will include travel to regional areas such as Benalla, Wodonga, Greater Shepparton and Mansfield. The role will occasionally, include overnight stays. The Eastern Metropolitan Area team office is based in Glen Waverley and the Hume Area team office is based in Benalla.
