Children& Services Authorised Officer

Do you have demonstrated experience working in a regulatory environment undertaking quality assurance, compliance and investigative activities and/or demonstrated knowledge of quality in early childhood education and care?

Do you have demonstrated experience in effective management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders and excellent verbal and written communication skills?

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in promoting quality improvement in early childhood education and care (ECEC) services by actively monitoring compliance, undertaking investigations and conducting assessment and rating visits at Victorian ECEC services.

Location: Footscray office / Conducting service visits / Flexible work location

Quality Assessment and Regulation Division

The Department of Education and Training is the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care (ECEC) services under delegation from the Secretary. The Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD), in the Department of Education and Training, regulates and quality assesses ECEC services. QARD drives the delivery of high-quality ECEC services and ensures the safety, health and wellbeing of Victorian children attending those ECEC services.

About the Role

Children's Services Authorised Officer

As a Children's Services Authorised Officer you will play a key role in promoting quality improvement in ECEC services by actively monitoring compliance, undertaking investigations and conducting assessment and rating visits at Victorian ECEC services.

To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative and motivated team member, who upholds organisation values in all interactions and actively contributes to a constructive culture.

This is a full time, ongoing position, at the VPS4 level working across the South Western Victoria Region. The role involves travel across the South Western Victoria Region, in particular the Western Metropolitan Area, and will at times, include overnight stays. The Western Metropolitan Area team office is based in Footscray.
