A fixed term, Children’s Services Officer position is available in the Quality Assessment and Regulation Division at the Department of Education and Training.
Our Division is the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care services. We drive the delivery of high quality services and ensure the safety, health, and wellbeing of Victoria’s children.
This role provides assistance and support to authorised officers in the management of complaint and incident notifications. This position supports visits and investigations, compliance and assessment and rating work as part of the core functions of the regulatory authority.
We are seeking a highly motivated team player with demonstrated experience working in a regulatory environment.

Position Details

The Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD) is seeking a Children's Services Officer to join its Southern Metropolitan Area team.

This is a full time, fixed term position at the VPS3 level based in Dandenong.

This position will work collaboratively across other QARD regional areas.

This position will involve travel which may include overnight stays.


• Assist authorised officers in undertaking assessment and rating visits, compliance visits, and investigations as part of the core functions of the regulatory authority, performed in adherence with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and Victorian Children's Services Act 1996.

• Experience working within a regulatory environment

• Proficient use of Microsoft office software and experience with the use of database applications • Successful applicants will be required to hold a valid Victorian Working with Children's Check or Victorian Institute of Teaching registration upon commencement.
