As part of the Victorian Government commitment to Child Information Sharing reforms, the Department of Education and Training (DET) is seeking a Principal Policy Officer to contribute to the reform agenda and improve outcomes for children in Victoria. An exciting opportunity is available to join a high performing team in the Child Information Sharing Reform Unit working on meaningful reform to child information sharing professional practises across a broad range of workforces. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and enjoy working collaboratively across the Department and other parts of government to develop and progress the reforms.

Position Details

Principal Policy Officer (fixed term) opportunity available to help shape an ambitious reform program.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in policy analysis and development (ideally in an early childhood, education or social policy context) be flexible and able to easily adapt to a fast paced environment with often competing priorities. We will work with you, support your development, listen to your ideas, challenge you, and give you the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

You will be working on exciting and innovative Child Information Sharing reforms. You will be excited about progressing and implementing policy ideas and factual information in persuasive ways (reports, briefs and statistical data). You will work hard to prevent problems from emerging, and where they do, be driven to solve them.
