Position Details

The purpose of this role is to plan and administer the communications and marketing plan for School Sport Victoria.

This includes website development, social media work, writing government briefs, creating and writing content and working with all School Sport Unit staff to ensure communications is delivered to schools and other SSV stakeholders. This work includes the inter-school sport competition to government and non-government member schools in eight sporting regions across the state and the interstate program. This person will also work with the Strategic Manager to support the SSV partnerships and clients integral to the SSV programs. Project and client management is an essential component to this position as well as a thorough knowledge of and experience with Communications and Marketing. There is a requirement to travel, to and from events, to attend meetings, support the Chief Executive Officer as well as support teachers and SSU staff. The role includes working effectively with stakeholder organisations within Government, the school sector and the broader sporting sector, to maintain networks that will contribute to the delivery of successful SSV outcomes.
