Senior Project Officer

This ongoing VPS 5 Senior Project Officer role contributes to the implementation of activities related to the provision of English as an Additional Language (EAL) and multicultural education across Victoria. Working as a member of the EAL and Multicultural Unit, in close collaboration with a wide range of department colleagues and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will work to implement communications and strategies to ensure access to high quality learning and development services for EAL learners, including refugees and asylum seekers, and to support the implementation of multicultural education initiatives.

Senior Project Officer

The EAL and Multicultural Unit, within the Secondary Reform, Transitions and Priority Cohorts Division is responsible for ensuring EAL learners across Victoria have access to high-quality learning and development services to develop English language proficiency, and for supporting the implementation of multicultural education.

To succeed in this Senior Project Officer role, you will have demonstrated project and program management skills, as well as communications and marketing experience. In addition you will require excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills (including excellent written communication skills) and to be a collaborative and resilient team player.

Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly desirable.
