Project Officer

This fixed term VPS 4 Project Officer role contributes to the implementation of activities related to the provision of English as an Additional Language (EAL) across Victoria. Working as a member of the EAL Unit, in close collaboration with a wide range of department colleagues and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide specialist expertise in EAL to ensure access to high quality learning and development services for EAL learners, including refugees and asylum seekers.

Position Details

The EAL Unit, within the Secondary Reform, Transitions and Priority Cohorts Division is responsible for ensuring EAL learners across Victoria have access to high quality learning and development services to develop English language proficiency.

The role will focus on providing expertise in EAL curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment and reporting, as well as project and program management to support the work of the Unit. In addition the role will require you to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (including excellent written communication skills) and to be a collaborative and resilient team player. Relevant tertiary education qualifications are essential.
