Position Details

This position plays a key role in contributing to achieving the Department's priorities and complements the program of activities and policies across Government.

You will have a record of policy analysis and implementation and demonstrated understanding of the workings of government. Your capacity to build strong relationships and networks with agencies and government departments will be critical as will the ability to engage a team to deliver outcomes. Knowledge of kindergarten services and public policy will be highly regarded.

This Policy - Advisor/Analyst – Social role supports key kindergarten reform projects, including delivering school readiness funding in kindergartens so that more children start school developmentally on track.

It requires someone with excellent project management skills, policy development experience and a passion for implementing programs to maximise outcomes for children. The role will be responsible for providing senior guidance and input to the project, including preparing documentation and guidance to support effective roll out of new funding.

The senior officer will report to the Manager Kindergarten Reform Projects and be responsible for supporting effective project delivery.
