Senior Policy Officer

An exciting opportunity exist to support the Department of Education and Training’s goal of providing all children with access to services that support their health, wellbeing and learning needs. A position exists in the Prevention and Health Promotion Branch of the Wellbeing, Health and Engagement Division. The purpose of the Division is to lead the Department’s efforts to improve and reform child and learner wellbeing, health, engagement and inclusion. As part of a high performing team, the Senior Policy Officer will lead the development and delivery of important service improvement projects the provision of Maternal and Child Health Services. The role will include project design and delivery and contribute to early childhood policy development. This role will report to the Principal Maternal and Child Health Advisor.

We are looking for highly motivated team player with experience in the development and implementation of Government initiatives that will support the delivery of important maternal and child health improvement projects that are part of the Government's Education State and Roadmap for Reform agendas.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with experience working with a range of government and community stakeholders. The successful candidate will need to be able to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders across the branch and the wider Department.
