Program Officer (Analyst)

The Program Officer (Analyst) will be required interrogate datasets including the National Quality Agenda IT System, undertaking analysis and reporting on emerging risks and performance to assist the development of evidence-based solutions, and support business process improvements across the Division’s regulatory operations. The role will also assist in a range of other projects and programs undertaken by the Business Systems Review Unit as identified by the Unit Manager.
The position operates in a high-volume work environment and is often required to provide timely responses with short notice. The successful applicant will need to have strong IT skills and the ability to maintain a comprehensive program of reporting using a range of tools/ programmes.

Position Details

The Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD) is seeking a Program Officer (Analyst) to join its Business Systems and Review Unit.

This is a full time, ongoing position at the VPS4 level based in Melbourne CBD.


• Interrogate data and undertake analysis and research to identify emerging trends, risks and performance issues.

• Monitor and report on regulatory risk and performance issues impacting of the Division's regulatory strategies and operations.

• Identify and develop opportunities for ongoing improvement to business processes and systems to establish the Division as a best practice regulator.

• Effectively manage or otherwise contribute to the successful delivery of projects and programs.

• Support uptake of new technologies and information management systems across the Division.

• Contribute to ongoing development and implementation of the Unit's communications strategies and stakeholder engagement activities.


• Desirable:

Qualification or relevant experience business analysis and or assurance, risk and compliance
